Welcome!

The San Juan Center, founded in 1971, is a bilingual, multi-service agency designed to provide social services and to engage in economic and cultural activities on behalf of the Puerto Rican/Latino population, especially in the north end of Hartford. Specifically, we help our clients locate affordable housing, find jobs through job fairs and by working with employers, and by providing programs relating to the elderly. We are located at 1283 Main Street in Hartford.

Our Mission is to be the provider of social and economic services to the low and moderate income residents of Hartford, with the primary focus on the Clay Hill and Arsenal Communities. It is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.

Our vision Statement is to create within the Puerto Riccan/Latino community of Hartford a community that is self-sufficient through a series of programs and services that are currently available or that may have to be created.
